About Kerry
Hello, I'm Kerry... the founder of The Haven Events + Design. I was born & raised right here in Minnesota, and I look forward to all of our seasons, yes, even winter. However, my favorite season is wedding season! My other passions include exercising (my go to is running), attending the movies with my husband, traveling to new and old places, reading murder mysteries, and enjoying happy hour with my friends.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers, Rah!), married an amazing life partner, and discovered my passion in life...celebrating love. I joined the wedding and event industry in 2010 and after 700+ weddings and events, I still love meeting new people and helping them in their journey of starting a new beginning together.

The Haven
I have always dreamed of being my own boss and doing something in the creative space, so starting an event planning company seemed the logical step in making those dreams come true.
Thus, The Haven was born.

Why The Haven, you ask? I've always thought a good wedding and event planner should have a calming and comforting presence amid all the stress and uncertainty of planning a big event. I strive to be that "haven" for my clients, along with having fun along the way. Whether I'm there to guide you through the entire planning process, or I'm there to help you create and design your vision or I'm there to just execute your plan the day of the event, I want your experience to be one of happiness and enjoyment.

I've had the great pleasure of working on the catering side, the venue side and the independent planning side of the industry and I take all that inside knowledge into account when I plan and design events.
